Hello, my readers

The latest book checked off my TBR list is "What Happened to You?" By Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey.

"Reading 'What Happened to You?' was a profoundly moving and transformative experience for me as a mother who has faced childhood trauma. Dr. Bruce D. Perry and Oprah Winfrey's collaborative work provides a profound understanding of how early life experiences shape our lives and relationships.

As a mother, I found the book's discussions on parenting and the importance of attainment and connection with our children particularly insightful. It helped me recognize the significance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for my kids.

The personal stories and interviews included in the book are both heart-wrenching and inspiring. They illustrate the power of healing and resilience, offering hope to those who have experienced trauma and to parents who want to break the cycle of trauma for their children.

'What Happened to You?' is a book that doesn't just offer knowledge; it gives a path toward healing and self-discovery. It encourages self-compassion and understanding while shedding light on the importance of compassionate listening and empathy in our interactions with others.

Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone, especially parents, who want to better understand the effects of childhood trauma and learn how to foster healing, resilience, and connection in their lives and the lives of their loved ones."

Using the Libby App allows me to listen to books while driving or working on other things. I highly recommend trying it out if you feel like you don't have time to read but want to experience the idea of learning from a book.
